“For God so loved the world that He gave His only Son, that whoever believes in Him should have eternal life.” John 3:16
On January 22, 2002, the first informational meeting took place at a local library. Faithful attendees later met to decide upon the curriculum, mission, and purpose of the school, and a governing board was formed. The priorities of faith, family, and school along with moral and academic excellence were a resounding echo throughout the hearts of the families present.
MISSION
For like-minded Christian families and teachers to partner together to create a unique educational environment in which children can achieve academic excellence with a special emphasis on learning moral standards and values according to Biblical principles. The students will grow strong in their faith and be a lighthouse to our community.
Teachers reinforce the godly standard of discipline, which is taught at home. Our like-minded families share a knowledge of the discipline practices from Parenting From the Tree of Life (Formerly Growing Kids God's Way - GKGW) and The Age of Opportunity, parenting courses based on Biblical principles. Teachers support the discipline of GKGW, which supports the parent's role as well as allows group class time to be focused on academics and positive peer relationships, versus negative behaviors. Teachers display godly character and serve as mentors to the children.
TCCS is a Community School that prioritizes faith, family, and school in that order. We uphold the importance of Biblical parenting and moral like-mindedness. We have a unique partnership with parents because we recognize that parents are the primary educators every day of the week. We use a variety of curriculum to strive for academic excellence. We are a school built upon the pillars of faith, family, and school. We believe that our children are gifts from God. Parents are God-ordained trainers and the families at TCCS commit to build a strong family.
